Washington County Veteran's Services Office
The County Veteran Service Officer (CVSO) and Assistant County Veteran Service Officers (ACVSO) are highly trained professional advocates that share an understanding of the challenges our Veterans, their dependents and survivors face. We receive the most current training on the scope, significance and application of ever-changing federal, state and local laws. We are well versed in the rules and regulations adopted by the various organizations and implement them effectively. We apply specialized knowledge in the best way suited to meet the needs of every Veteran, dependent and survivor who visits our office.
Examples of services offered in this office:
Comprehensive benefits counseling
Claims preparation and submission
Claims follow-up to ensure final decisions
Networking and advocacy with federal, state and local agencies
If you are interested in applying for benefits or are curious about what benefits may be available please contact us and we will assist you or direct you to the appropriate resource. We prefer to schedule appointments but welcome walk-ins, if we are available, at all three of our locations; Stillwater, Cottage Grove and Forest Lake.
